Direct Payment to Your Card or Account

Accepting Direct Payments: To Your Card or Account

The Direct Payment to Your Card or Account option provides a straightforward way for your iSales AI Chatbot to facilitate payments directly to your specified bank card or account. This method is particularly useful for individuals or businesses that prefer not to use third-party payment gateways or do not have a formal legal entity for payment processing.

How Direct Payments Work (and Key Considerations):

This payment method operates on a manual verification process, as the bot cannot automatically confirm the transaction status:

  1. Bot Provides Your Details: When a user is ready to pay, the bot will provide them with your specified card number or bank account details, along with any instructions you’ve set.
  2. User Makes Manual Transfer: The user then manually makes the transfer using their own banking app or service.
  3. Receipt Submission: The bot will ask the user to send a transfer receipt as proof of payment.
  4. Bot (or Manual) Verification:
    • The bot may have some capability to assess the “quality” or appearance of the receipt (e.g., looking for expected information).
    • If the bot is satisfied (or if you have instructed it to proceed upon receipt), it will mark the payment as completed and continue providing its services or fulfilling the order.
    • In many cases, you might need to manually verify the receipt and the actual fund transfer in your bank account before considering the payment truly complete.

⚠️ Important Caution:

  • Risk of Forged Receipts: Since the bot cannot directly verify the actual transfer of funds with the bank, there is a risk of users submitting forged or manipulated transfer receipts. Use this payment method with caution, especially for high-value transactions.
  • It’s advisable to always cross-verify the payment in your bank account before finalizing a sale or service delivery if possible.

Configuration Settings:

  • Card Number or Account: (e.g., Not set)
    • This is where you will enter the specific bank card number or bank account details (e.g., account number, bank name, routing/sort code, IBAN) where you want to receive payments.
  • Instructions for Buyer: (e.g., Not set)
    • This is a crucial field. Provide clear and detailed transfer instructions for the buyer. This can help streamline the process and make it easier for you to identify payments. Examples:
      • “Please include your order number [Order_ID] in the payment description.”
      • “For payment reference, please use your Telegram username.”
      • “Kindly make the exact amount and do not include any payment description.” (This might be used if you reconcile based on exact amounts and timing).
      • “After making the transfer, please send a clear screenshot of the transaction receipt.”

Managing Your Direct Payment Settings:

The interface provides the following options:

  • 💳 Update Card or Account Number (Button):
    • Click this to enter or change the bank card or account details where payments should be sent.
  • 📝 Update Instructions for Buyer (Button):
    • Click here to write or modify the specific instructions that will be shown to the buyer when they choose this payment method.
  • ——| Direct Payment |——
    • 🟢 Enable / Disable (Toggle Buttons):
      • Enable: Activates the direct payment option. Your bot will offer it to users and provide the configured details/instructions.
      • Disable: (Shown as selected with a checkmark in the example screenshot) Deactivates this payment method.
  • ↩️ Back (Button):
    • Returns you to the main “Payment Processing for AI Bot” menu.

While direct payments offer simplicity, always weigh the convenience against the inherent risks and implement your own verification checks where possible. Clear instructions for the buyer are key to minimizing confusion and potential issues.
